By accessing or using Favicon Hub ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Favicon Hub provides a free favicon fetching API and related tools including:

• Favicon retrieval API for any domain
• Image format conversion tools (PNG, JPG, SVG, WebP to .ico)
• Emoji to favicon generation
• Web directory and favicon browsing

3. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Abuse the API with excessive requests beyond reasonable usage (rate limits apply)
• Attempt to circumvent rate limiting or access controls
• Use the Service to distribute malware or engage in phishing
• Scrape or bulk-download favicons for commercial redistribution
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure

4. API Usage & Rate Limits

• Free Tier: Up to 1,000 requests per day per IP address
• Fair Use: The API is provided free of charge for reasonable usage
• Caching: We encourage caching responses on your end to reduce load
• Attribution: Attribution is appreciated but not required

We reserve the right to throttle or block access for users who exceed rate limits or engage in abusive behavior.

5. Intellectual Property

Favicons fetched through our service remain the property of their respective website owners. Favicon Hub does not claim ownership of any third-party favicons. Our service merely acts as a proxy/cache for publicly available favicon files.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee:

• 100% uptime or availability
• That all domain favicons will be retrievable
• The accuracy or quality of fetched favicons
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation

7. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Favicon Hub be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

8. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice. We may also update these terms periodically.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the Service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
